Father’s Day is this weekend and if you need a creative gift for you dad or husband ASAP, think music, lots of music.

If the dad you’re celebrating loves music, then tickets for the whole family to Roots & Blues Festival this year will be a great Father’s Day surprise.

“This year’s lineup is proving to be one of our most-anticipated; from the sounds of Ricky Skaggs to the beats of our house band and from the great vibes by artists like the Alex Cuba to the sweet styling of groups like Five Alarm Funk, your dad does not want to miss this,” says David Gonella, executive director of the festival. “Actually, the whole family will want to join dad on a trip to gorgeous Salmon Arm for a weekend of great music and memories.” The festival features the Hub International Family Fun Zone packed full of activities to engage all the kids in the family.

Face-painting, crafts, water balloons, sandboxes, bouncy houses, and activities from the Okanagan Science Centre will all be main stage for families during the festival. You can be moving and grooving to the sounds of the festival while building a sand castle as a family.

The Roots & Blues PlayZone Stage will also be a hit for Dad – he can learn a few storytelling trips while the kids practise their drumming.

And, Dad chooses some kid-free time on Saturday or Sunday, there is onsite daycare for children over the age of three. Children can be dropped off for two hours for $20 per child. They’ll enjoy fun with new friends and dad can enjoy music on any of the stages or in the relaxed atmosphere of the beer gardens.

Buy your tickets online now and make this Father’s Day extra special for your deserving, music-loving, dad.
