Re: Leave No One Behind.

In the Aug. 23 Observer, Martha Wickett writes to concerns regarding the number of homeless in this area. She states, and rightly so, there is not enough money being spent to assist these people who would rather have a home to go to instead of sleeping on a patch of grass.

It seems Canada has plenty of money when it comes to immigrants as they are provided with everything at taxpayer expense. The money and programs they receive appear to be ongoing with no time limits.

Much of it comes from borrowed money which Justin Trudeau thinks is the way to run a country. Canada spends billions of dollars on foreigners and their families, who are not Canadian citizens.

We know the Liberal government is tripping over itself to make the immigrants Canadian citizens as quickly as they can in order to create more support for themselves in the 2019 election, which is not that far off.

Once again it appears our present government in Ottawa would rather assist immigrants instead of Canada’s homeless, our seniors and those wanting to continue their education.

Those who support the present Liberal government might argue Canada has plenty of money to go around. I would urge those who agree with this to read the column again and ask, do we need to continue spending taxpayer and borrowed money on immigrants instead of Canadians?
