Drenched fields closed again

City of Salmon Arm shuts down fields for weekend, will reassess Monday.

Due to Thursday night’s storm, as well as forecasts for more rain and poor field conditions, the City of Salmon Arm has announced Salmon Arm playing fields are now closed except Canoe and Klahani Park ball diamonds. City staff will reassess conditions on Monday morning, May 15.

Because of this news, the Shuswap Youth Soccer Association has announced all Timbit and house games for Saturday, May 13 are cancelled. However, two Select games Sunday afternoon will go ahead, likely at the Shuswap Middle School field –still to be confirmed.
