At 3:05 this morning, Drive BC reported downed power lines four kilometres south of Sicamous on Highway 97A.
The road is reduced to single-lane alternating traffic. There is no further information on BC Hydro’s website to indicate if power has been restored.
In other road news, water is pooling in both lanes of a 51.4 section of Highway 1 from Sorrento to 11 kilometres west of Sicamous.
Slippery Sections are also reported eight km north of the junction with Highway 97A in Enderby to the junction with Highway 1, in Salmon Arm.
