A second Sicamous fuel service station will be rebranding in the near future.

Sicamous council has OK’d a development permit application for the Esso at 913 Trans-Canada Highway to change its signage as the station becomes a Chevron. The permit is required because if the road sign’s height and size.

The A&W restaurant within the station will continue to operate as such.

A staff report to council says during the course of the conversion, the owners are also upgrading the station’s underground monitoring system and converting the single-wall underground storage tanks to double wall.

Council recently approved a development permit for a sign conversion at the Sicamous Husky, which is in the process of becoming an Esso station.
