Harriett passed away peacefully on October 17th, in Salmon Arm, after a brief illness.  Born Harriett Genevieve Marie Tracksell in Borden, Saskatchewan, January 18th, 1928.  Harriett grew up on the Prairies with 7 brothers and sisters.  She spent her early life teaching in Northern Saskatchewan, then travelled to the big city of Toronto. She joined her sister Beth, and the two of them  took on various jobs, and explored their new surroundings.  A prolonged correspondence with a certain gentleman introduced her to her future husband, Norris, who became the love of her life.  They married in 1951, and moved to Ashcroft, BC.  Shortly afterwords they discovered their new paradise in Sicamous.  It was in Sicamous where they built their dream home, raised their family, and enjoyed life.  Reading, writing poetry, gardening, and genuinely loving Nature were Harriett’s lifelong  passions.  She will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, positive outlook, and kind words for those in need.  Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters, and beloved husband Norris (Scottie); she is survived by her stepsons Earl (Lorna) and Neil (Linda); her children Lynne (Roger), Dawn (Gordon), Norrie (Sandi), Alan (Kim), and Steven.

She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank all the staff at Salmon Arm hospital, Bastion Place, and especially Dr. Beech for his kindness, and thoughtfulness during her illness.
