North Okanagan Hot Air Balloon Society selfie contest takes flight

Want to win a $50 gift card? The NOHABS says it’s as simple as taking a selfie

One person, one picture, one post per location — the rules are simple and it could earn you a $50 “mystery” gift card, courtesy of the North Okanagan Hot Air Balloon Society (NOHABS).

Balloon society members Lori Carey and Shelly Rozankoski visited The Morning Star Monday morning to announce the organization’s first Fiesta Mini Balloon contest, complete with a demonstration. The contest, which runs until Feb. 10 at midnight, kicks off today.

The organization is asking participants to follow the mini balloon around Vernon, and post a selfie, including the hashtag #findminiballoon2018 (for Facebook) or tag NOHABS using the tag @nohabs.1, when you find it. The first location is The Morning Star office on on 25th Ave.the balloon will be at the office until Saturday, and available for photos between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Friday.

Each photo must contain you, the balloon, and the sponsors banner. All those who submit selfies from each location will be entered into a draw for the prize.
