Boating enthusiasts who place style over speed won’t want to miss the Sicamous Antique and Classic Boat Show.
This is the third year for the show, scheduled from Saturday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Street Landing dock. Related events run all weekend, starting Friday night and continuing on Sunday.
Organizers with the Okanagan Antique Classic Boat Society expect there will be at least 30 classic and antique boats on display – a rich range of vintage, restored and custom marine craft.
“After two very successful years, we are looking forward to another great weekend on the water with many friends who are keen on just playing around in boats,” states the society.
Due to the reduced size of the Main Street Landing dock, resulting from damage caused in a recent hit and run, neighbouring marinas have donated use of dock space to accommodate the event, which is free to the public.
