The Shuswap 4-H Club did wonderfully at the recent Salmon Arm Fair.
Despite the fair being moved from its usual date in fall, many found the weather remained tolerable if not better than years prior. We did face a large thunderstorm the first evening of the weekend. Even during a storm, the 4-H food booth stayed open! This shows 4-H's commitment to the community, being there rain or shine. Most 4-H clubs in the area helped out in the food booth. This gave our members an amazing learning experience.
Our club had many members showing animals (except sheep), entering projects, winning ribbons and achieving. This year, members of the Shuswap 4-H Club entered rabbits, cows, dogs, horses, photography, educational boards and cloverbud projects.
Our club is very proud of the achievements at the Salmon Arm Fair. Many families of the club will be attending other fairs and trying their best!
