This Easter, the Sicamous Curling Rink and Finlayson Park are going to be hopping.
The District of Siacmous will host its annual Easter egg hunt there on Saturday, April 15, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
In addition to seeking those cleverly hidden confectionaries, kids — and parents — can enjoy numerous other activities, including a pancake breakfast hosted by the Lion’s Club, Easter-themed crafts, face painting, a bouncy house and safety awareness, with fire trucks on hand to learn about and explore.
For the hunt itself, organizers have ensured an even playing field for all kids, with groups split up according to age, starting with the youngest (ages 1 to 4) from 9:30 to 10 a.m., followed by ages 5 to 8 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. and ages 9 to 12 from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
Participants are asked to bring an Easter egg basket and a donation for the local food bank.
