Dress for Success Kelowna is launching a campaign in March to celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8).
“Your Hour, Her Power” will see a different female community leader featured on the Dress for Success social media pages each day of the month.
“Your Hour, Her Power honours successful women for the pivotal role they play in driving business and economic gains, as well as social and cultural change. We want to create a movement where women can share their insights, knowledge, and expertise to inspire, empower and educate women everywhere,” said Lori Stevenson, executive director of Dress for Success Kelowna. “We want to celebrate amazing women and raise funds that will help provide free local programs and services such as career development, mentorship, ongoing professional development and the provision of professional attire.”
A few of the women taking part are Most Wanted Luxury Resale owner Emily McKay, real estate investment specialist Reena Yost, and director of operations at Sentes Automotive as well as the Kelowna Women in Business 2023 Woman of the Year winner Pamela Pearson.
The campaign is looking for a few more powerful women to join the campaign and share their struggles and triumphs online. Interested women should reach out by email to Tannis Henderson at programcoordinator@dfskelowna.org.
