Salmon Arm’s DeMille’s Farm Market helps raise food and funds for Salvation Army

Dan Hopkins, Buck Critch and Glen Paul of Armstrong were back in Salmon Arm with their pumpkin cannons Sunday to team up with DeMille’s Farm Market to raise funds and gather food for the Salvation Army food bank.

This year, city election and school trustee candidates were onboard with the event, either taking turns firing the cannon and/or providing campaign signs for pumpkin cannon fodder during the Oct. 14 event.

As in past years, a highlight of the event was the candy scramble, in which candies were loaded into one of the cannons and then fired into DeMille’s field for kids to find.
