This isn’t your typical classifieds ad, this is the story of two very sweet pups in desperate need of their ‘furever’ home.

Missy and Hooch were rescued by Paws it Forward Dog Rescue in Kelowna in November. Sadly, the big loving pups have been without a permanent home ever since.

While the dogs love their foster parents, the rescue society is desperately trying to find them a permanent home.

Wanted: a family that needs some extra love and cuddles.

“We are good roommates because we don’t leave a mess in the kitchen (only a few slobbers here and there), we don’t eat people food, we don’t care what channel we watch and we don’t require scheduled showers in the morning,” Missy ‘explained’ in their classified ad.

“We do require regular ear scratches, exercise and a home with a fenced yard and no cats. Our foster family calls us ‘adorable’, and even though I don’t know what that means, I think it’s a good thing and possibly our new roommates might think we are adorable too.”

The two Rottweilers have been paired together for nearly two years now and are bonded at the hip. The rescue society wants to ensure they find a home together.

The dogs were brought to the rescue society after their owner passed away.

“We like to hang out in our dog forts (crates) at night and during the day, when our other roommates go to work,” added Missy and Hooch.

“Although we love being outside, we’ve lived our lives as indoor dogs and have gotten used to being inside with the family. Our foster family calls us ‘husband and wife’ probably because we love each other so much and we really do! (Don’t tell Hooch, but I would totally say YES if he ever decides to ‘pop the question’).”

The dogs are described as a ‘laid-back couple’ that loves lounging around, cuddling, play fighting and smiling.

“Hooch is bit older than me so sometimes he likes to have an afternoon nap. During this time, I enjoy a nice bone or, if he naps too long, I will casually hit him with my toys until he wakes up and hangs out with me,” the ad says.

“I can’t live without Hooch because he is my main man, my first love and my protector. Hooch can’t live without me because I bring all the jokes, play times, and energy. He says ‘I keep him young’ and I agree with that because I am pretty awesome.”

Paws it Forward says Hooch is a six-year-old lab/Rottweiler cross, while Missy is a pure bred one-and-half-year-old Rottweiler.

The dogs are reportedly calm, well-behaved pups that get along well with other canines and humans alike, not as well with cats however.

They know basic commands, are house trained, listen well and have been an amazing treat for their foster parents.
