Riders of all ages ran the new track at the ICU Pump Track World Championship Qualifier

Riders of all ages were coming in hot during the ICU Pump Track World Championship Canadian Qualifier held in Sicamous on the weekend.

Competitors came from all over to run the new track, on Saturday, Sept. 7, from pint sized pedallers to pros. The event started with the youngest riders, U7, then cycled through the other age categories throughout the day, ending with the Knock-out-Heat Finals at 5 p.m. The winner in the Elite category will earn the opportunity to compete in the championship event to be held in South Africa on Nov. 9

Riders flew around the track, catching air and taking corners almost horizontally as they did the outer loop then ended the lap on the interior, with the crowds offering enthusiastic appreciation. Despite a few minor crashes, the track's inaugural event ran smoothly, leaving everyone pumped.
