A driver's desire to show off backfired, with two vehicles, a fence and some flowerpots falling victim to the attempt.

At 6:38 p.m. on Aug. 10, the Chase RCMP got a call about a vehicle collision on Cedar Avenue, where responding officers found a black Dodge Challenger Hellcat with significant damage. A green GMC pickup parked nearby, a fence and some flowerpots also did not go unscathed in the incident.

"The driver of the Hellcat admitted he lost control of the vehicle while trying to show off for a group of friends," Const. Saray Van Wilgenburg said in a media release. "He said he had never been more embarrassed in his life."

In addition to his mortification, the driver received a violation ticket for driving without due care.
