With temperatures continuing to spike all week, the District of Sicamous is offering residents and visitors a place to beat the heat.
In a July 9 Facebook post, the district announced the municipal office would be open as a cooling centre for the community during regular hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday "during the heatwave."
"Feel free to come and enjoy the air conditioning," it reads.
Though it's the district offering the service, the building also contains the library, visitor centre and museum that can help while away the time.
There is always the option of hitting the lake at the Beach Park and the spray park located there.
