The Salmon Arm U13 Rec hockey team had a season for the books after claiming the 2024-25 title of OMAHA District Champions for the first time in history.
"Coached by Ryan Allen and Blake Lawson, the team battled hard and secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Kelowna," OMAHA said on Facebook to announce the win which is "the first time since the Championship games began."
"Huge congratulations to the players, coaches, and supporters for this incredible achievement."
The history-making team is made up of Arthur Auld, Arthur Watson, Brantley Fish, Colt McGonigal, Colton Smith, Dylan Allen, Easton Carter, Easton Hunt, Jace Lawson, Jack Nguyen, Lincoln Carlin, Logan Penner, Maddox McQueen, Max Giesbrecht, Ryder Blair and Sunny Walters.
