Friday night's overtime road loss set the Sicamous Eagles back to a 2-1-1-0 standing after a 3-2 final against the Chase Heat in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action on Friday, Oct. 4.
The contest saw Chase light up the board within the first minute of play before Sicamous' Alexander Leskiw answered back with his first goal of the season, assisted by Hunter Fuoco and Ashton Gallagher.
The second period was one-sided for the Heat as they capitalized on a mid-frame power play before two Eagles rookies tied it up early in the third. That was short lived, however, as Chase took the game in overtime to put them at 4-2-0-0 and second overall in the league.
The Eagles take flight again tonight, Oct. 5, in a home game against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats with the puck drop at 7 p.m.
