Coquitlam mother and children found in Sicamous after amber alert issued

RCMP report the mother and children from Coquitlam named in an amber alert on Nov. 4 were located in Sicamous.

The RCMP have de-activated the amber alert for Sofia and Mateo and their mother April Pastor-Ruiz. The trio were located by police at a gas station in Sicamous at approximately 9 p.m. on Nov. 4.

36-year-old April Pastor-Ruiz, is in custody and charges are pending. The children will be reunited with their family.
