RCMP have deemed the deaths of an Enderby couple to be a domestic related murder-suicide

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit and the BC Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the deaths, which were reported on Nov. 18.

The incident took place at a private residence in the 3200 block of Spruce Crescent in Enderby, on the Splatsin First Nations Reserve.

The deceased 46-year-old female victim and 69-year-old male were married and the only residents of the home in which the incident took place.

“The couple were located by family members attending the residence to check on their well-being after the male had failed to show up for work,” said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

“The investigation has revealed that a single firearm was involved in the incident, the firearm was recovered during the scene examination. Investigators have determined that there was no evidence to indicate third party involvement and no arrests are anticipated.”

RCMP continue to investigate the circumstances concerning the murder of the female victim and in assisting the BC Coroners Service in the non-criminal death investigation of the male subject.
