Election 2014: Vote count goes into the wee hours

District of Sicamous: Two and a half hours in, and counters had just completed the advance poll ballots.

  • Nov. 15, 2014 2:00 p.m.

Most Sicamous residents will be waiting until the morning for results of their municipal election.

By 11 p.m., the ballots counted were from the advance poll and ballots from the regular election were beginning to be tabulated.

Kelly Bennett, one of the elections officers, told the Eagle Valley News the results would likely not be in until after midnight.

The Eagle Valley News will endeavour to bring you results on Sunday morning.

To follow the elections progress, including some witty observations from reporter Lachlan Labere, check out the Sicamous Eagle Valley News Facebook page.
