Douglas Smith was on a pontoon boat 3 kilometres west of Sicamous when he saw a large log floating in the water. After steering around it, he and a passenger looked back and saw the floating object transformed by shadow, appearing, in his words, like Okanagan Lake’s legendary Ogopogo.
