The weekend in the Okanagan is off to a dreary and wet start.

Environment Canada forecasts rain, clouds and possible thunderstorms Saturday. Thirty to sixty per cent chances of showers throughout the day and night with a high of 21 C in some parts of the Okanagan.

In Penticton: Thirty per cent chance of rain with some risk of thunderstorms. High of 21 C. Skies clearing later this evening.

In Kelowna: High of 17 C. Chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Clearing skies expected in the late evening.

In Vernon: High of 17 C with sixty per cent chance of rain. Thunderstorm risk coming in the afternoon and clearing at night.

In Salmon Arm: High of 16 C. Thunderstorm risk starting in the early afternoon with sixty per cent chances of showers throughout the day and night. Skies and clouds expected to clear in the late evening.
