Drug-related charges are being sought against two Lower Mainland residents following a police search of a Malakwa residence.
On July 10, Sicamous RCMP, with the assistance of the Vernon Police Dog Service and the Revelstoke forensic identification unit, executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a Sommerville Husted Road residence in Malakwa.
Cpl. J.R. Lechky reports around 1,700 marijuana plants were found inside the house and a shop on the property.
“Charges of Cultivation of Marijuana are being forwarded to Crown counsel against two individuals from the Lower Mainland,” said Lechky.
