Questions are now being accepted for candidates running to represent the B.C. riding of Salmon Arm-Shuswap.
The Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event, taking place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Salmar Classic on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The event is free to attend and space is limited to 280 people.
"This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and understand their visions for our community," reads an announcement by the chamber.
As of Sept. 6, Salmon Arm-Shuswap candidates included David Williams with the BC Conservative Party, and Jed Wiebe with the BC Green Party. Though an official announcement had not been made, Salmon Arm's Sylvia Lindgren was chosen to represent the B.C. NDP. Elections BC accepts candidate nominations until 1 p.m. on Sept. 28.
The all-candidates meeting will be moderated with no questions from the floor. The public may submit questions in advance through a form available on the chamber's website (under events). The form will be available until 4 p.m. on Sept. 25.
"All questions must be submitted in advance and will not be shared with the candidates before the event," said the chamber.
