Sicamous police are seeking the identity of a man involved in an altercation at the local thrift shop.

Sgt. Murray McNeil says on Wednesday, Sept. 7, around 7:30 p.m., police received a report of an unknown male who approached two people unloading items to donate to the United Church Thrift Shop at 705 Trans-Canada Highway.

The man asked the couple for some money and when they refused, he threw his coffee at them.

Individuals involved in the altercation said as they proceeded to leave, the man began screaming profanities at them and pelted their vehicle with rocks.

McNeil notes the incident was reported to police around an hour after it had occurred, and that police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as being 30 to 40 years old, with blonde hair and beard, wearing a red hoodie with a yellow and white raincoat and blue jeans.
