Vandals damage downtown Salmon Arm property

Vandals went on a destructive spree in downtown Salmon Arm overnight on Aug. 9 to 10 causing significant property damage — including damage to local charitable organizations.

Vandals went on a destructive spree in downtown Salmon Arm overnight on Aug. 9 to 10 causing significant property damage — including damage to local charitable organizations.

“An unknown culprit or culprits tore up plants, kicked off sprinkler heads, damaged business property, damaged signage, possibly vehicles and smashed windows. Even business frontage that supports the less fortunate was damaged in what appears to be a linked set of criminal acts,” says Salmon Arm RCMP Staff Sgt. Scott West.

The Salmon Arm RCMP are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying who is responsible for these acts of vandalism.
