Not missing: Vernon woman reaches out to newspaper

UPDATE Dec. 21:

Krysta Vanderkroft says she is not missing.

Police reported the 29-year-old was last seen in Vernon on Dec. 7 and issued a plea to the public to help locate her.

But Vanderkroft reached out to The Morning Star last night to say she is not missing.

“Been so cold phone wouldn’t charge,” Vanderkroft said, adding that she also locked herself out of her phone for a while.. “Today is payday so I will be on the e-bus back to Vernon Polson Motel.”

ORIGINAL Dec. 20:

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman.

Krysta Vanderkroft, 29, was last seen in Vernon on Dec. 7.

Vanderkroft is five-foot-five-inches tall, 100 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
