Helen A. G. Lyttle passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1987 and son Samuel in 1972.

Helen is survived by her daughter Iris and son Keith. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Doreen, Dwayne, Derek, Brett, Shawn, Dean and Patrick, several great-grandchildren, as well as her twin sister Hermione, siblings George, Robert, Joyce, Ronald, Jean, Isobel, Leslie and Alex, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was born in Green Island, Northern Ireland, on December 14, 1922 and immigrated to Canada in 1948, settling first near Fairview, Alberta, with her young family before moving to Mara and then on to Sicamous. Long- time residents of Sicamous, Helen and John are well-remembered for their years of work in the community, including delivering milk door-to-door for Noca Dairy and then managing the Monashee Motel for several years.

A family graveside service was held by the family plot at Solsqua Cemetery on Sunday, August 7th with Jack Bowers as the funeral celebrant.

Arrangements are in the care of Bowers Funeral Home and Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
