John "Buddy" Stadnicki

Stadnicki, John, known as "Buddy" to his family and friends, at the age of 67, passed away peacefully at the palliative care unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital on July 3rd, 2019, after a five-month battle with gastric cancer. Survived by his wife, Joan Poffenroth, his mother, Isabel, his two sisters: Wanda (Bill), & Barbara, his two daughters, Sarah (Will) and Jean Leggett (Blair), along with his three grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan and Taylor. He now joins his father, Jan, and brother, Michal, in everlasting peace.
Buddy was known for his love of the sport of curling, ever since he fell in love with the sport at the age of 17. He was an avid participant in many Deaf organizations throughout his lifetime and loved working on crossword puzzles and the garden.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 28, 2019 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Richmond Curling Club, 5540 Hollybridge Way, Richmond, BC, Canada.
