Joyce Hagel passed away, with her family at her side, in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the age of 80 years.

Joyce was born in Edson, Alberta on February 02, 1931 and had resided in the Malakwa and Sicamous area since 1970. Mom devoted her life to her family, showed her family the meaning of love, making each one of us feel special and supported whenever we needed it. She enjoyed her gardening, walking and especially heading out with the camper fishing with her husband, Ray.

Joyce is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ray; children, Lynn (Bud) McRann of Nelson, Shelley (Randall) England of Quesnel, John Hagel of Sicamous and Stace (Coral) Hagel of Courtenay; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Jack Lambert of Edmonton and sister, Kathy LaChance of Nanaimo. Joyce was predeceased by her mother, Alice Newton; brothers, Roy and Allan Lambert and nephew, Jackie Lambert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Sicamous, BC on Friday, February 11th at 10:30 am, with Father George LaGrange, OMI, the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Malakwa Community Cemetery.
