“Good, great or awesome”.

These are the words that Shawn would use to begin her day, and they reflected her attitude towards life.

She was well known for the time she spent involved with the Sicamous Eagles Junior Hockey Club, which can be counted among her busiest and happiest years. For several years she ran Krackerz Soup and Sandwiches on Main Street, delighting in her regular visitors and new customers. Her clever wit and investigative mind led to interesting banter and repartee - always ready with a smile and a kind word.

For Shawn, life was an adventure – full of fun and laughter; finding joy in nature – a budding spring flower, a new leaf, a rainbow, a sunset; the breeze on her face, the wind in her hair. She looked forward to springtime – the season of growth – which meant spending time with her husband Tom Ramsey, riding their Harley on our Beautiful BC highways.

“You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;

you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,

no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”

Desiderata – Max Ehrmann

Her energy is free to soar the universe while her memory stays in the hearts of her husband, Tom Ramsey; mother, Geraldine O’Reilly (Andy Toth); sisters, Christine O’Reilly (Gregory Nerbas), Pamela Jourdain (Carey Jourdain), Marianne O’Reilly, and Barbara Sampson. Fondly remembered and deeply missed by her nephews, Eldon Jourdain, Bryon Jourdain, Aaron Jourdain (Cynthia), Trevor Nerbas and Tyler Nerbas.

We were blessed to have known the warmth of her hug and the depth of her love. Shawn, we love you; we miss you – your family.
