It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Norma, in her 72nd year, at the Vancouver General Hospital on December 25, 2008.
Norma is survived by her loving husband, Don, her children, Peg (Mark) Parsons of Calgary and Dan (Nadia) of Burlington, Ontario. The delight of her life were her grandsons, Jacob, Gregg & Adam Parsons and Liam and Landon Herrmann.
Norma is survived by her sisters and a brother, Anna, Ray (Marj), Audrey (Glen), Eleanor (Doug & Marion (Gene). Also surviving are step-father Joe Herold, sister-in-law Joan (Clarence) Veenstra, numerous nieces & nephews and many, many dear friends, old & new. She is also survived by Don’s family, Alvina, Bill (Eileen), Ed (Lorraine), Gerine (Gerry), Ruby (Bob), Marlene & Ron (Dianne). A memorial service will be held at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church, 4612 Varsity Drive N.W. Calgary on January 23, 2009 at 2 p.m. A local service, to be held in the spring, will be announced at a later date.
