Richard Jens Jensen passed away August 20th after a brief battle with cancer.  He leaves behind his loving wife Marlene Jensen of 51 years of marriage, daughter Cynthia Green (Kenny) of Cremona, son Brent Jensen (Sheri) of Kelowna and grandchildren Lindsay (Kim), Krystal (Adam),  Levi (Darian), Jordan and Alexei.  Seven great grandchildren Jason, Arya, Parker, Braylee, Timber, Dieken, Emilie, and sister Betty of Langley.   Predeceased by brother David (Linda)  and parents Doris and Jens Jensen.  Richard was born January 1, 1944 in Vancouver, B.C.  Richard grew up in Milner and started work at an early age, helping and in the end running the family business, Jensen Service.  In 1960 he met the love of his life Marlene Stedel.  They were married in 1965.  In 1979 lifelong friend George Larson convinced Rick to move to Sicamous, B.C. to work at the Malakwa Mill until 2006. They had their two children in Langley, and raised them in Sicamous, B.C.  Richard had a love of vehicles and could fix anything.  He had a love of Bucerias, Mexico but above all was the love for his family.  Family gatherings were always at Rick and Marlene’s house, filled with love, hugs and laughter.  A celebration of life will be held at the Sicamous Legion 322 Main Street on Saturday August 27 at 1:00 PM.  In leu of flowers please donate to the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
