Two Sicamous Eagles players have been giving back to the community by sharing their hockey skills.

One of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) squad’s goalies, Gage Reimer, and defenceman Jace Ticknor, have been coaching the Sicamous U9 Junior Eagles.

The fledgling U9 Eagles have been invited to watch their Junior B KIJHL counterparts at their Tuesday, Feb. 15 game at the Sicamous and District Recreation Centre against the 100 Mile House Wranglers.

The Eagles announced all tickets would be just $5 for the game, which starts at 7 p.m., as it’s the team’s last regular season home game. Additionally, the team is collecting non-perishable food items at the door for the Eagle Valley Community Support Society’s food bank.

The Eagles are set to face off in a series against the Revelstoke Grizzlies after the KIJHL playoffs begin Feb. 22.
