Basketball fundraiser

Salmon Arm Synergy Club Basketball is running its annual fundraising camp at Shuswap Middle School during the first week of Spring Break, March 19-22. Grades 5-6 from 9 a.m. to noon and Grades 6-8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Contact Aaron Smith at for details, or register at the door the first day of camp.

Women’s soccer

North Okanagan Women’s Soccer is looking for teams to play Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Competitive and non-competitive divisions are available for players of all skill levels. Email for more information.

Shuswap football

Registration for the 2018 Shuswap Football season opens April 1, with early-bird registration (before April 30) receiving a $25 discount. More information and pricing can be found at


Shuswap U14 B Sharks ringette team brought home the bronze medal from provincials over the March 10-12 weekend. They also received the Fair Play award for most sportsmanlike team in their division.

Lacrosse players wanted

The Shuswap Outlaws minor lacrosse team is looking for players aged 8-12 to fill out the roster for their 2018 season. Season runs April-June, practices Tuesday and Thursday evenings, games on weekends. Registration deadline is Friday, March 16, contact Karen Peters at 250-804-5744.
