It’s spring cleaning season, and once again the City of Enderby is challenging residents to tidy up the community.

The city is preparing to launch the 11th annual Our Enderby Clean-Up Challenge. Local residents can show their civic pride by helping to clean up and beautify areas throughout the community.

People are encouraged to gather at the city hall parking lot at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27. There, the Clean-Up Challenge will take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will be followed by an appreciation barbecue at noon in the Enderby and District Financial parking lot, hosted by the Enderby and District Lions Club.

Participants will be provided with food and refreshments to celebrate their contribution to the city.

“The annual Clean-Up Challenge is a great opportunity to bring our residents together for the common goal of beautification. We are once again asking for participation, in any capacity, from anyone who can attend the event,” said Mayor Huck Galbraith.

The Lions Club will also host a paper shredding event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Enderby and District Financial parking lot. That event is open to businesses and individuals by donation.
