Cod Gone Wild to play in the park

East meets west with Cod Gone Wild, a Vernon band that channels the Maritimes through their Celtic style of music.

Their extensive tour schedule has taken them from San Francisco to Newfoundland and everywhere in between, with Sicamous coming up on Monday, Aug. 7 at Music in the Park.

The popular band—which first debuted in 2009 as a four-person ensemble—has earned both audience and critical acclaim, snagging Okanagan Life Magazine’s title of best musical performing act in 2013 and 2014. They continue to win over fans wherever they perform.

This is the fifth of seven bands in the series, presented by SASCU Credit Union and the Best Western Sicamous Inn, in partnership with the District of Sicamous and the Sicamous and District Chamber of Commerce. Caleb Hart & Friends and Devon Coyote closing out the summer. The weekly concerts continue to take place every Monday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Beach Park, with everyone encouraged to come out, bring a blanket, chairs and enjoy an al fresco evening on the lake, with the chamber now selling a selection of Lemon Tree Pizza by the slice, giving families a night off from cooking.
