Sicamous Mayor Darrell Trouton poses with the staff of Smart Shredders, a shredding business created by the Sicamous-Malakwa Adult Resource Training for Community Living Society, a non-profit organization that supports young, special-needs adults wanting to work in their home community. The District of Sicamous recently gave Smart Shredders a $6,000 grant to get up and running, and also provided the group with its first major shredding contract.
