The Salmon Arm Skate Club bladed their way to a heavy medal weekend at the recent 2024 Okanagan Region Championships.
The club had 29 skaters attend the event held in Armstrong on Feb. 9-11, where they competed in 75 different events and brought home an impressive mix of medals that included nine gold, 28 silver and 16 bronze.
“We are so proud of every single one of them,” club organizers state on their Facebook page. “Some personal bests, a new mascot, a few stumbles, tons of laughter and memories that will last a lifetime.”
Next up is the 2024 BC/YT Super Series Final in Kelowna from March 7-10.
