Born in Weyburn, Sask. Parents moved family to Golden, B.C. when I was 6.
Like most kids then, I worked, driving tractor on my uncle's farm during summers, and at a parts through high school, and then worked full time as that store's manager after graduation.
Took my young family north. Coached and played hockey most of my life which took me to New Zealand for a year. Always wanted to own a pub, which took me to Revelstoke, and later Sicamous. I’ve been here long enough to understand why. Managing the liquor store gave me the opportunity to meet most of my neighbours. Being chosen to council and acting as deputy mayor and chair of finance committee these last three years has allowed me to give back. I have more to contribute.
