Flooding remains a possibility in many parts of the Shuswap in the coming days and weeks.
To protect property from the rising waters the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD), the District of Sicamous and the City of Salmon Arm are making sandbags available at several locations around the Shuswap.
Sandbags and sand are available at the City of Salmon Arm’s public works yard located at 100 - 30th Street SE.
Sicamous residents can get sand and bags at the district public works yard at 1450 Solsqua Sicamous Road.
The fire halls in Swansea Point, Silver Creek and Sorrento will stock Sandbags for those in need.
In Tappen and Sunnybrae, sandbags can be picked up at the Sunnybrae Community Park.
The North Shuswap Community Hall, located at 2199 Squilax Anglemont Road in Lee Creek, will also have sandbags available.
