UPDATE: Highway 97 reopens in West Kelowna

UPDATE 4/16 6:51 a.m.

Highway 97 from Daimler Road to Bartley Road was cleared just before 9:30 p.m. on Monday night.

Update 9:15 p.m.

DriveBC is warning drivers of major delays as eastbound lanes of Highway 97 in West Kelowna are still closed.

An update is expected to come at 10 p.m.

Black Press has reached out to the RCMP for more information on the collision.

Update 8:30 p.m.

The highway remains closed in West Kelowna after a serious crash involving a motorcycle.

Eastbound lanes between Bartley and Daimler are closed.

DriveBC is expected to provide an update around 10 p.m.

Original 7:20 p.m.

A portion of Highway 97 in West Kelowna is closed following a crash.

DriveBC reported the closure at 6:17 p.m.

The closure is of the eastbound lanes west of Bartley Road.
