Notice of Public Hearing – Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1045, 2023

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 5 p.m. in council chambers (Municipal Hall, 446 Main Street, Sicamous, B.C., V0E 2V0) to consider the District of Sicamous Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1045, 2023.

The purpose of the District of Sicamous Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1045, 2023 is to amend the following:

  • Amending Part One of definitions by adding the definition of ‘Bunkie’;
  • Replacing Section 4.3.4 RVP-1 Recreational Vehicle Park with a new Section 4.3.4 RVP-1 Recreational Vehicle Park 1 (Silver Sands);
  • Adding a new section 4.3.5 RVP-2 Recreational Vehicle Park 2 (Sicamous Sands);
  • Adding a new Section 4.3.6 RVP-3 Recreational Vehicle Park 3 (Old Town);
  • Adding a new Section 4.2.6 R-5 Resort Residential Zone (Old Town); and
  • Rezoning Schedule B.1 Zoning map which forms part of the District of Sicamous Zoning Bylaw No. 1000, 2022 to reflect the above-mentioned new zones on the map.

If you believe that your interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaw, you will be afforded an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing or to submit written comments. Written comments received by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, will be provided to council. You may submit your comments:

  • via email to publicinput@sicamous.ca,
  • via regular mail to Box 219, Sicamous B.C., V0E 2V0, or
  • hand delivered to 446 Main Street, Sicamous, BC

Please note that council is not permitted to receive submissions after the close of the Public Hearing. The District of Sicamous assumes no responsibility for correspondence received after the deadline.
