It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Joyce, at home in Quesnel, BC surrounded by her family on Friday December 31, 2010.

Joyce is survived by her nine children, George (Anita) of Quesnel, Leonard (Margaret) of Cold Lake , Brian (Carolyn) of Prince George, Carol (Dean) of Sicamous, Roger (Margarida) of Calgary, Judy (Ross) of Edmonton, Shirley of Calgary, Lee (Laura) of Abbottsford, Rene (Kyung won) of Port Coquitlam, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and close friends. She is predeceased by an infant granddaughter Dorian Hugo and infant great grandson Dyson D’lugos.

Joyce lived a full and busy life raising her children in several different places, and forming many lifelong friendships. She was an avid gardener and loved all things in nature. She enjoyed travelling and visiting with family and friends. She took special joy from each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and in sharing in the special events in their lives.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and we feel blessed to have had her in our lives.

A celebration of her life will be held in Prince George on Sunday January 9, 2011 at the RJ Blackburn House at 2455 S Blackburn Rd. from 2:00pm to 4:00pm

And as well in Sicamous, BC on Saturday January 15, 2011 at the Senior’s Hall Shuswap Ave. from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
