It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Henry Williamson on November 4th, 2010. Dave was born in Vancouver BC on February 11th 1926. He passed away very peacefully and did what he wanted right to the end.

Dave is survived by his wife Jean, stepson Ian (Sandy) and stepdaughter Barbara (Marcelo). He was the cherished Papa to Danny and Alexandra. Also surviving are his Shandy Cove family, and a host of good friends in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Dave was predeceased by his first wife, Joan, and his brother Dan.

Dave had lived in Sicamous since 1964. He was very community-minded and always active in trying to help and promote the community. He also leaves a great legacy to his own special community, Shandy Cove. He was so proud that there are now three generations at Shandy Cove.

His strong work ethic, his integrity and fairness and positive approach to life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him. He was a wonderful man. His love and kindness and generosity will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2011. Heartfelt thanks to Colleen and Brian Thurgood for their support and love in Dave’s final days.

We will not dwell on your death but will celebrate your life.
