Irma Evans passed away peacefully at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC on Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the age of 76 years.
Irma was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario on August 9, 1932. She had lived in Sioux Lookout, Ontario before retiring to Sicamous in 1988.
Irma will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Doug; ten children, Yvonne (Peter) Morriss of Sioux Lookout, Jim Evans of Sicamous, Leo (Irene) Evans of Thunder Bay, ON, Gail Evans of Winnipeg, MB, Anne (Fuzzy) Hogan of Sioux Lookout, Jean (Bob) Davies of Sioux Lookout, Arlene ( Wayne) Evans of Ignace, ON, Glen (Angela) Evans of Winnipeg, Neil (Wendy) Evans of Brandon and David Evans of Sicamous; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother, Allan (Sharon) Blomquist of Eagle Bay.
A memorial service was held from the Sicamous United Church on Thursday, May 28th at 2:00 pm. If so desired, contributions in memory of Irma may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
