In Loving Memory ~
June passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Mt. Ida Mews.
June married her one love of 75 years, Norman Lewis on November 20, 1949. They had spent many years residing in Sicamous and later in Lake Country and Salmon Arm. She is survived by her 7 children, Chyril, Jackie, Bob (Helena), Dan, Cindy (Dave), Sandra (Rick) and Shelly (Todd).
June was predeceased by her husband Norman in 2014. Her beloved son Chris also predeceased her in 2022 and her son-in-law Jim, who left us in 2021.
Gramma June leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. Mom was the rock of our large family and her gentle soul will be remembered by all that knew her.
Mom loved to putter around the farm and in her gardens. She was creative when it came to her quilting and cross stitch pictures. She would have also liked it be known that she was "The Crossword Queen" of family and friends.
Our family would like to thank Dr. K. Hepburn for his care for mom and all the staff at Mt. Ida News. She had special bonds with all of you and we can't thank you enough.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
