January 10, 1945 - June 12, 2023
Sharon (Kraft, Lyttle) Blue (nee Nygaard), entered the world Jan 10, 1945, passed away peacefully on her terms June 12th, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Mom took great pleasure in nature. She loved the sights and sounds of the glacier rivers and the smell of the violets growing wild on her family's property in Bella Coola. She spent the first 10 years of her life there until her father died at sea.
The family then moved to Kelowna where mom lived for the next 12 years. Mom was widowed twice by the age of 27 (Bob Kraft in 1966 and Sam Lyttle in 1972). Mom settled in Sicamous in 1968 and following Sam's death, met Clarence (Clay) Blue with whom she spent the next 52 years, before finally marrying on May 20, 2023 surrounded by an intimate gathering of friends and family.
Mom always said the highlight of her life was giving birth to her boys and family time. In 1999, after planning for nearly 30 years, mom took the trip of a lifetime to New York with her sister, Rose, and best friend, Brenda.
Mom and Clay had a great group of friends. They loved to play cards and visit every weekend. Mom was known for her beautiful gardens and she loved the feel of soil on her hands. She was also a great cook and baker and took pride in her delicious creations.
Although a sister to two brothers (David and Dale), mom shared an unbreakable bond with her younger sister, Rose. They spoke daily and were each other's confident and biggest supporters.
Mom was predeceased by both parents (Bobby and Helen), brothers David and Dale, niece Christina and many other friends and family.
Mom is survived by husband Clarence Blue; sons Dean (Lisa), Shawn (Lynn); grandchildren Jordan (Acacia), Mandy (Rob), & Colton; great grandchildren Frances and Simon; sister Rose (Willie) and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends.
Mom asks that when you see a beautiful flower you take a minute to marvel at its beauty and think of her.
