Vivian Rosalie Slee, passed away at Piccadilly Care Center, Salmon Arm, BC in the early hours of Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the age of 101 years.

The funeral service was held from the Sicamous United Church on Monday February 16, 2009 at 1pm with Fred Duck officiating.

Interment followed at the Eagle Valley & District Community Cemetery, Solsqua.

The pallbearers were Wesley Manson, Neil Manson, Brian Manson and Lee Gavel. Honorary pallbearers were Linda Manson, Debra Collins and Jennifer Gavel.

Born in Homer, Nebraska, USA on September 29, 1907. Rosalie spent most of her career as a housewife raising her three daughters and son. She moved to Sicamous, BC in 1975 from Edmonton where she spent many happy years. As the years went by and Rosalie’s health started to deteriorate she moved to Oakside Manor and then to Piccadilly Care Centre where many staff came to love and cherish this gracious lady.

She was predeceased by her first husband Willis Collins in 1984 and then George Slee in 2006.

Rosalie is survived by her three daughters Audrey of Merritt, Vivian (Bill) Manson of Edmonton, Lola Gavel of Sicamous and Doyle (Helen) Collins of Edmonton, Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
